HMCFamily.org is the website for the Hewitt-Matheny-Cooper Family Association. We are an organization of three related Oregon pioneer families that have been celebrating our heritage since the descendants of Henry and Elizabeth Hewitt began annual reunions in 1919. The branches of our family tree have grown to cover most of the United States since our families began coming to Oregon in the first wagon train of the Great Migration in 1843.
We are hoping this website will keep us better connected to each other and to our roots. We also hope that our heritage may prove interesting and of benefit to others who may visit here.
