IN MEMORIAM: Arthur (Art) Menefee 1929 – 2009

Arthur Menefee

ARTHUR (ART) MENEFEE JAN 11, 1929 – FEB 7, 2009 Born in Stockton, CA to Lois and L.V. (Bill) Menefee. Art is survived by life companion Cecile Vineyard; daughter, Kathy Holland; sisters, Mildred Rivara and Joanne Cox; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Harry, Harold, and Jack Serrano, and William and Gary Menefee. Art was an avid sports fan. He sacrificed many younger years and a career in professional baseball to care for his his brother Gary, whom suffered from Cerebral Palsy. Art retired from Willig Freight Lines after 27 years of dedicated service. He was very well known as Artie Go Go. He was a wonderful man who will be truly missed. Services will be private. Internment will be at Park View Cemetery in Manteca Californiawww.modbee.com/obituaries

Thomas M Carlisle was interred in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside County, Riverside, CA on 10/24/2008. Honor Guard provided 3 Gun Salute, Taps, and Flag Ceremony. Thomas is interred with first wife Joan Elizabeth and is survived by sons John of Las Vegas, NV, David of Park River, ND, daughters Barbara Derrick of Lexington, SC, Diane Christy of Newport Beach, CA, and Patricia McComb of Escondido, CA, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Thomas is the son of Kate Eunice Bailey and Roger Edward Carlisle, grandson of Cena Abby Layson and Rev. Mark Edward Bailey, great-grandson of Sarah Jane Matheny and Aaron Maxwell Layson, great great-grandson of Rachel Cooper and Henry Younger Matheny. Thomas was married to Joan Elizabeth Krause in 1944 until her death in 1989; in 1992 he married second Alverna Marie Wagner who died in 2007.

IN MEMORIAM: William Henry Kerr

Hank is survived by his five children: Kathy Dentel, of Oregon, Frank Kerr, of Alaska,

Hank Kerr at 2007 Reunion.

Karleen Triplett, of California, Kristy Price, of Muleshoe, Texas and Karen Weaver, of Ennis. He is also survived by a brother, Jean Kerr, of Oregon, as well as several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

He will be buried on the homestead, located in the Coastal Mountain Range Southwest of Portland, Ore.
